Community Collections for Operation Christmas Child
Background: Reminder - the drop off deadline is quickly approaching! From end of Oct through mid Nov (**must drop off by 6pm on Wed 14 Nov 2018 at the Magrath Pharmacy this year**) the Lions Club collects completed Christmas Gift Boxes to donate to Operation Christmas Child. Perhaps your family or community group would like to join in the fun with us! In years past we have collected and delivered up to 150 boxes to the Lethbridge or the new Raymond collection point .. In addition to the boxes themselves, we also try to include $10 per box collected to help cover their shipping/delivery costs.
Although you can provide your own boxes, we also have some pretty green and red empty boxes available for pickup at the Magrath Pharmacy and other locations around town .. Thanks Everyone!

Request: "Lucky 14! For the 14th consecutive year the Magrath Lions Club is sponsoring Operation Christmas Child. Boxes and packing information can be picked up at the the Magrath Pharmacy any time during regular business hours from now until Nov 14 (also the last day of collections here in Magrath). Typical items for the boxes include simple things like a toothbrush, facecloth, school supplies and a few small gifts. Completed boxes can be dropped off at the Magrath Pharmasave collection area and the Magrath Lions Club arranges the delivery to the Raymond collection site. Contact Lion Roger for more details ." FYI: One local bank took 20 boxes to fill and we hand out boxes as people come by the Pharmacy. Thank you for your participation and Merry Christmas to all.
