Have a safe and fun summer! We hope to see you at our 2013-14 opening picnic meeting scheduled for Sat 31 Aug 2013 to be held down by the new Terry Trainer Memorial (Fishpond) Playground. It should be well worn in by then.

So far this year we have had lots of fun activites .. pancake breakfast meetings, good press and pictures in the Westwind News, lots of willing volunteers and Lions, great turnout for our April Community Food Drive (over 6600 lbs collected), successful installation of the new playground in June, funds raised at our Garage Sales over $650, and the official ribbon cutting for the park scheduled for July. And, despite managing to spend all the funds saved for these projects, we are still on the good side of the bank balance!

I have posted tentative meeting times on the Calendar, starting with our opening picnic. It is hard to find a best day in a month for everyone to be able to meet .. but with enough prior notice and a little tweaking as needed, perhaps we can make it work. At that opening meeting we can discuss the September No Cost Clothing event, the new Leo Club and their projects, and ..
